pi NN and pseudoscalar form factors from lattice QCD.
The πNN form factor gπNN (q ) is obtained from a quenched lattice QCD calculation of the pseudoscalar form factor gP (q ) of the proton with pion pole dominance. We find that gπNN (q ) fitted with the monopole form agrees well with the Goldberger-Treiman relation and is much preferred over the dipole form. The monopole mass is determined to be 0.75 ± 0.14GeV which shows that gπNN (q ) is rather...

متن کاملForm factor relations for pseudoscalar to vector meson transitions
In semi-leptonic and other weak decays of mesons, the hadronic matrix elements of the operators in the weak Hamiltonian are parametrized by standard sets of independent, Lorentz invariant, form factors. For the case of pseudoscalar to vector meson transitions, it has been shown that a Quark Model description leads to relations between some of the form factors. Here, I give an alternate, and mor...
متن کاملNucleon electromagnetic form factors from lattice QCD
It is imperative that lattice QCD serve to develop our understanding of hadron structure and, where possible, to guide the interpretation of experimental data. There is now a great deal of effort directed at the calculation of the electroweak form factors of the nucleon, where for example, measurements at Jefferson Laboratory have recently revealed surprising behaviour in the ratio GE/GM. While...
متن کاملAn analysis of the vector meson spectrum from lattice QCD
We re-analyse meson sector data from the CP–PACS collaboration’s dynamical simulations [1]. Our analysis uses several different approaches, and compares the standard näive linear fit with the Adelaide Anzatz. We find that setting the scale using the J parameter gives remarkable agreement among data sets. Our predictions for the ρ and φ masses have very small statistical errors, ∼ 3 MeV, but the...
